Scotty Edwin Peterson, age 53, of Three Rivers, passed away Friday, June 13, 2025 at Three Rivers Health.
He was born October 31, 1971 in Decatur, the son of Robert E. and Judith M. (Beischl) Peterson.
Scotty attended Kalamazoo Central High School and later earned his GED. While in high school he enjoyed singing in the school chorus and the music of Elvis Presley.
He completed training with the U.S. Army and was employed with many jobs throughout his life.
Through friendship Scotty married Brenda McKenna on December 26, 2020. Together they liked to be at home with family and friends. They enjoyed going to family sporting events and practices.
Remaining to cherish his memory are his wife, Brenda Peterson; brothers, Mike (Tracy) Peterson and Robert Peterson; sisters, Ella Marble and Anna May; seven nieces and nephews; special family, Robin (Robert) Grile and Caroline (Tracy) McDonald, Olivia, Caleb, Zach, and Maddie.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
In accordance with family wishes, cremation will be conducted, and a celebration of life will be held at a later date.
