Bruce R. Wyman, age 82, of Three Rivers, passed away on Saturday, July 5, 2025 at The Sparrow House in Sturgis while under hospice care. He was born October 19, 1942 in Constantine, a son of Henry and Grayce (Whitehead) Wyman.
Bruce graduated from Constantine High School in 1960, continuing his education at Ferris State University for one year, and later graduating in 1964 with a Bachelor’s Degree in Physical Education from Central Michigan University. Bruce played football while at Central Michigan University, where he received All-American honors and was drafted by the Minnesota Vikings. On September 2, 1962, he married Virginia L. Langworthy in Constantine. She preceded him in death on April 27, 2009.
Bruce worked as a salesman for 25 years at Champion Sportswear based in Syracuse, NY, and later as partner of the Cotton Exchange, a sportswear company based in North Carolina, retiring in 2004. He enjoyed horse racing, and was an owner and trainer. Bruce was also an avid golfer and fisherman. He was a board member at Camp Wakeshma, former Nappanee Raceway President, and a member of Messiah Lutheran Church in Constantine.
Surviving are his son Timothy (Laura) Wyman, Milton, GA; daughter Suzanne (Nir) Wyman-Rubinstein, Atlanta, GA; grandchildren Ansley (AJ) Willoughby, Kelsey Wyman; sister-in-law Christine Langworthy; brothers-in-law James Langworthy and Ray Schmidtendorff; several nieces and nephews; and special friend and companion Cheryl Hart. He was preceded in death by his parents; wife; and sister Nancy Schmidtendorff.
Relatives and friends will be received Wednesday, July 9 from 5 to 7 PM at Eley Funeral Home in Constantine. Religious services will be held at 11:00 AM on Thursday, July 10, 2025 at Messiah Lutheran Church in Constantine. Pastor Bob Wyman will officiate. Interment will take place in Constantine Township Cemetery.
