One person was injured after a golf cart was struck by a pickup last week in Cass County’s Penn Township.
Sheriff Clint Roach said deputies were called shortly after 9 p.m. July 4 to the area of Schultz Court and Shore Acres Road in response to a crash with injury.
Deputies said a juvenile was driving a golf cart and he attempted to turn left from Schultz Court onto Shore Acres Road. The cart was struck by the pickup, which was heading east on Shore Acres Road.
It, too, was driven by a juvenile.
The driver of the golf cart was treated at South Bend Memorial Hospital, authorities said. A second juvenile passenger in the golf cart was released at the scene.
