Terry Ray Alexander, age 68, of Mendon, passed away on Tuesday, July 1, 2025 after battling a long illness. He was born on March 2, 1957 the son of Seborn and Mary (Ledford) Alexander. Terry attended Mendon High School and was part of the 1974 class. In 1975 Terry married Cindy Dunithan, they were later divorced. In 1987, Terry married Kelly Miller, they were later divorced. For nearly 30 years, Terry worked for the Lear Corporation / IAC in Mendon until his retirement in 2020.
Terry was a simple man who enjoyed the simple things in life. Fishing any body of water that Michigan had to offer, golfing with his buddies, and listening to old country music. He was an avid sports fan, especially when it came to his beloved Dallas Cowboys. Terry was an expert horseshoe player, making those 40 feet his domain while enjoying the back yard gathering with his friends and family. Terry loved his family and spoiled his grandchildren. He also had a soft spot for his loving dog, Sadie, who snuggled and ensured Terry made it through the rainbow bridge.
Terry is survived by his four children; Terry Jr. (Jennel Schultz) Alexander, Michielle (Tony) Mercer, Wendy Alexander, and Jessica “J.J.” (Zac) Rooney; nine grandchildren; Chase Alexander, Drew Alexander, Paige Sweet, Anthony Mercer, Jr., Madeline Gilbert, Justin Matthews, MaKenzie Rooney, Zachary Rooney, and Huxlee Rooney; one great-grandchild; siblings; Rock (Linda) Alexander, Ben (Lori) Alexander, sister in-law Nancy Alexander, Mike Alexander, Foy (Mark) Shade, Shirley Woods, and Linda Vorick; and many nieces, nephews, and extended family. He was preceded in passing by his parents, Seborn and Mary Alexander; brother Dick Alexander, sister Claudette Thompson, brother Seborn Alexander, Jr., brother in-law Bill Woods, sister in-law Kathy Alexander, and his son, Cory Alexander.
In keeping with Terry’s wishes, cremation is being conducted. A memorial gathering will be scheduled at a later date. Condolences and memories may be expressed to Terry’s family at eickhofffuneralhome.com
