Thomas “Tom” J Kime, age 67, of Brimley, Michigan, died on July 9, 2025, after a long battle with pancreatic cancer. He was born on October 11, 1957 in Sturgis, son of Willard and Mary Ann (Shaw) Kime.
On October 7, 2000, he married the love of his life, Vicki Schug.
Tom had a deep love for the outdoors and enjoyed spending time camping, fishing, hunting, and trapping. He was known for his mechanical skills and talent in construction, always willing to lend a hand or fix what needed fixing. Tom also found joy and purpose in his work as a school bus driver, forming meaningful connections with the students he transported.
Tom is survived by his wife, Vicki; children, Dusty Kime of Bur Oak, Heather (Bill) Caldwell of Pueblo, Colorado, Patrick Kime of Howell, Michigan, Anthony (Maddie) Kime of Sault Ste. Marie, Ryan Kime of Sault Ste. Marie, Mikayla (Noah) McDonald of Sault Ste. Marie, Nathaniel Kime of Brimley; two grandchildren; brother, Douglas (Lori) Kime of Westville, Florida; sister, Catherine Hickox of Newberry, Michigan; and many friends.
Tom was preceded in death by his parents, Willard and Mary.
A Celebration of Life will be held on Saturday, July 26, 2025, at Calvary Baptist Church, 2301 Young Street, Sault Ste. Marie, MI 49783. Visitation from 2:00 to 4:00 with a luncheon to follow.
