Fire-hydrant study in Colon

A fire-hydrant study is taking place this week in the village of Colon.

Municipal officials said engineering firm Fleis & Vandenbrink is conducting the study. The process includes a procedure that might result in brown-colored water dispensing from residential and business faucets.

Village leaders suggest letting the water run for a period of time until the discoloration is gone.
