Kenneth J. Hemenway, age 71, of Nottawa Township, died on Sunday, September 7, 2025 at his home. He was born May 22, 1954 in Mendon, a son of Herman Powers and Donna C. Happel. Kenneth graduated from Three Rivers High School in 1972. He retired in 2020 from IAC in Mendon, where he worked as a Journeyman for over 25 years.
Ken enjoyed working and tinkering on antique outboard motors and classic muscle cars. He especially liked socializing with his neighbors and sipping on a cold Budweiser.
Surviving are his children Lacy (Brandon Moeller) Hemenway, Galesburg, Ashley (Gyles) Terry, Colon, Kathleen (James) Staples, Centreville, Candy (Brett) Zierle, Sturgis, Patty (Clay) Conklin, Vicksburg, his mother Donna Dick, Three Rivers, many grandchildren, one great grandson, former wives Kathleen M. (Breece) Hemenway and Vicki (Bohm) Akins, a sister Sandi (Matt) Carr, Knoxville, TN, and two nieces.
He was preceded in death by his father Herman Powers, step father Ralph Hemenway, daughter Heidi Kipper, and siblings Jeff, Bob, Sue and Sandy and a nephew Johnny Jansen.
