Man arrested after making threats to government employees

Multiple law-enforcement agencies responded last week to a threat against government staff and employees at the St. Joseph County Courthouse.

According to St. Joseph County Sheriff’s Department Chief Deputy Zachary Zuk, sheriff’s officials and representatives from other agencies were called to the courthouse Friday following the report of a threat.

Deputies eventually arrested a 64-year-old White Pigeon-area man, who was taken into custody and found to be in possession of a firearm, according to sheriff’s department officials.

The suspect is charged with making terrorist threats, deputies said.
