Yvonne Torres Hammon, age 62, of Three Rivers, passed away Friday, September 26, 2025 at her home surrounded by her loving family.
She was born in Harlingen, Texas on June 16, 1963, the daughter of Feliciano and Graciela (Garcia) Torres, and moved from the Lansing area to Three Rivers, where she lived for 34 years.
Yvonne worked for various jobs through the years, but her main focus was caretaking not only for her own two sons, but for five other children whom she adopted.
She was a kind, caring, loving, amazing, and strong woman who loved spending time with her grandchildren and cherished time with her family. She also enjoyed plants, fishing, crafting, and drawing.
Remaining to cherish her memory is Dana and her sons, Javier (Michelle), Juan (Janee), Bobby (Lexi), Emilo, and Santiago (Chloe); daughters, Allyana and Aaliyah (Bowen); grandchildren, Gabby, Gia, Javier, Sophie, Ayriana, Phillip, Jonathon, Lorin, Amancio, and Adelina; Sister Maria McLeod, Brother Felix Torres and nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents; brother, Ronnie Torres; and sister, Bobby Jo Ethridge.
Her family will receive friends Saturday, October 4, 2025 beginning at noon at Hohner Funeral Home, 1004 Arnold St., Three Rivers. A funeral service will follow at 1:00 at the funeral home.
Donations in Yvonne’s memory may be directed to her family in care of Javier Torres-Cavazos. Envelopes will be available at the funeral home.
