Camp Eberhart seeking funds for matching grant

YMCA Camp Eberhart is appealing to the public to help it secure a $100,000 matching grant.

Eberhart’s Corey VanBuskirk said a $100,000 matching grant has been offered from Y-USA with intentions of revitalizing the historic Mittler Hickory Limb Bath House on Corey Lake.

The facility has served generations of campers and families. Camp officials, however, said it is overdue for updates. With necessary funding, its history can be preserved while creating a safe, welcoming and functional space for years to come.

Specifically, the grant will allow for renovation of the bathhouse for safety and accessibility, preserve its historic charm, and ensure a welcoming waterfront experience.

Total renovation cost is $199,932, covering essential upgrades to the foundation, plumbing, lighting, carpentry and other areas.
