Jonathan Wayne McBride, age 45, of Constantine, passed away on October 17, 2025 at University of Michigan Hospital.
He was born January 30th, 1980 in Kalamazoo to Jim Tennant and Sandra McBride. Father Figures include Gene McBride (who taught him his trade) and Richard Larrance.
He graduated from Constantine High School with the Class of 1999. He worked in his trade of Drywall during this time.
He met his wife Ashley Jean Sapen in Elkhart in 2004 and started dating in September 2005. They married on September 10, 2011. John is a loving father to two beautiful children, Lorraine Kay (19) and Jones Douglas (10). Together they have lived a beautiful life.
John found his joy in playing the guitar, singing karaoke, having friends and family over, being on the St. Joe River, and spending quality time with his family. Their home has been filled with more love in 20 years than most experience in a lifetime.
Remaining to cherish John’s memory are his loving wife, Ashley; their two children, Lorraine and Jones; mother, Sandra. Siblings from his mother’s side, brothers Jason (Shelly), Joe (Heather), James (Christine), and sister Monica. Siblings from his father’s side, brothers Jim (Trisha) and Joe (Michelle) Tennant. From his wife’s side, father-in-law Richard Sapen, brother-in-law Nate Sapen, sister-in-law Amanda (Curtis) Hickman. Nieces and nephews totaling 26.
He was preceded in death by his father, Jim Tennant; father figure, Gene McBride; sister, Michelle Hughes; and Mother-In-Law, Laura Sapen.
His family will receive friends Saturday, October 25, 2025 at 11:00 a.m. at Riverside Church, 207 E. Michigan Ave., Three Rivers. A funeral service will follow at at the church with Pastor Paul Booko officiating.
A celebration of his life will be held date pending on his property summer of 2026; where many have been encouraged to come; and party around the fire pit listening to music, just like he would have wanted.
