Officers from Three Rivers and Constantine conducted a search warrant this week at a residence in the 500 block of 9th Street in an attempt to retrieve stolen property.
Chief Scott Boling said officers served the search warrant and, in the process, encountered nearly a dozen subjects on the property while five more people exited the residence.
During questioning of the subjects, police said several people indicated a wanted subject was inside the residence and armed with two handguns.
The St. Joseph Valley Special Response Team was activated. While its members were clearing the residence, information was obtained about illegal narcotic use.
The special response team eventually concluded the wanted suspect was not in the residence.
Authorities, however, obtained an additional search warrant for the residence and seized numerous firearms, narcotics and a large amount of marijuana.
The suspect was eventually located shortly before 10 a.m. Wednesday at an undisclosed location. He was arrested on an outstanding felony warrant and an additional felony charge.
