Reminder of temporary sign ordinance in Constantine

Constantine municipal officials have issued a reminder about placement of temporary signs within village limits.

First, signs promoting businesses or services are not allowed.

Next, yard and garage sale signs, campaign signs and event signs are permitted but must be removed within 30 days of the event’s conclusion.

Signs may not be placed on utility or light poles, or in the terrace – the area between the sidewalk and curb. Also, signs must be at least five feet from the roadway or sidewalk.

Signs in violation of the local ordinance will be removed by the village. Repeat offenses will warrant a citation.
