Jack Eldridge, 59

Jack Dean Eldridge, Jr., age 59, of Sturgis, passed away on Monday, November 24, 2025, at Three Rivers Health. He was born October 19, 1966 in Michigan City, Indiana, the son of Jack and Ruby (Thomas) Eldridge, Sr.

Jack spent his early years in Michigan City and graduated from Michigan City Rogers High School with the Class of 1985. He went on to build a proud 40-year career in the automotive industry. Over the years, he worked in plastic mold injection, aerospace engineering in Colorado, and quality management engineering. His professional path included positions at Flexible Concepts in Elkhart; MAP of Easton in Granger, IN; and most recently at Hutchinson in Michigan, where he worked in engineering. Jack was known as someone who took charge, led with confidence, and earned the respect and friendship of countless coworkers throughout his career.

Outside of work, Jack found joy in simple pleasures. His “church” was his home on Fish Lake, where he loved to fish and find peace on the water. He collected vintage beer signs, lanterns, and minnow buckets, and he enjoyed cheering on the Chicago Bears, listening to early 2000s alternative rock, grilling, and savoring a good beer. Jack had a deep love for his dogs—his German Shepherd Angel “Poop” and his Yorkie Brodie—and he never forgot his late German Shepherd, Asia.

For the past 13 years, Jack shared his life with his best friend and significant other, Susan Snider. He often said she made his last years better, filling his life with purpose and love in a way he had never known before. Jack was Susan’s bodyguard and she was his princess.

Jack is survived by Susan Snider; her children and grandchildren; and many friends, colleagues, and loved ones who will forever remember his humor, his determination, and his signature saying: “If you do what I say, you will be alright.”

He was preceded in death by his parents and by several aunts and uncles.

In accordance with his wishes, cremation has taken place. Ray Funeral Services, 305 Rock River Ave., Three Rivers, MI 49093, has been entrusted with his care. There will be a Celebration of Life announced after the Holidays.
