Joan R. Wood, age 87, of Centreville, passed away Monday, November 17, 2025 at Eaton Community Palliative Care in Charlotte, MI. She was born April 28, 1938 in Muskegon, a daughter of Ray and Pearl (Gabrielson) Miller. Joan graduated from Muskegon High School in 1956. On September 6, 1958, she married Jack W. Wood in Muskegon. Joan was a homemaker, an Avon Saleswoman, and she enjoyed fishing. She was a member of Fish Lake Bible Church, where she participated in all the various activities, working the church fair booth, and also helping to start the Super 60’s Group.
Surviving Joan are her husband Jack Wood; sons David (Marsha) Wood, Eaton Rapids, and Brian (Mary Ann) Wood, Warner Robins, GA; grandchildren Shanda (James) Jacobs, Sara Upshur, Joshua Wood, Andrew Wood; great grandchildren Dawson, Piper, Cora, Elin, Nolan and Dani. She was preceded in death by her parents, daughter Kim Adams, and sister Pat (Bill) Brewer.
Relatives and friends will be received Friday from 9:30 to 11:00 AM at Fish Lake Bible Church in Sturgis, where funeral services will follow at 11:00. Pastor Timothy Stover will be officiating.
