Leonard Moyer, 92

Leonard A. Moyer, age 92, of Constantine, passed away on September 27, 2025 at his home, surrounded by his loving family.  He was born in Constantine on February 25, 1933, a son of Lyle and Neva (Kent) Moyer. Leonard graduated from Constantine High School in 1951 and went on to trade school where he learned floor covering.  He proudly served in the US Army from 1953 – 1955, then the Army Reserves until 1961. On January 26, 1957 he married Jeanette P. Strawser in Constantine.  She preceded him in death on October 28, 2020.

Leonard worked for 22 years at Construction Sales in White Pigeon. In August 1979 he opened Constantine Carpet, and in March 1984 opened L&M Floor Covering, retiring in 1995. Leonard served on the Constantine Village Council for 25 years. He was a member of Porter Baptist Church and a former member of the Sauganash Golf Club, Constantine Lions’ Club, and Rotary Club.

Surviving are his children Deanna (Dennis) Walter, Louisville, KY; Kirk (Carrie) Moyer, Constantine;  Kelly (Kenneth) Hartley, Cave Creek, AZ,  grandchildren Meaghan (Doug) Walker, Cameron Walter, and Hannah (Evan) Gorham, all of  KY, Trace (Lydia) Moyer, Alec Moyer and Brayton Moyer, all of Constantine; Erica (David) Trocino and Kelsey (Mike) Sokol, all of AZ; 11 great grandchildren; brothers Lenual (Betty Jo) Moyer, Three Rivers, Kenneth (Carol) Moyer, AZ; and sister-in-law Nina Moyer, Bristol, IN.  He was preceded in death by his wife, parents, and brother Roger Moyer.

Cremation has taken place.
