Sandra “Sandy” Kay Barrett, age 80, died on Sunday, November 23, 2025 at Edgewood Nursing and Rehabilitation in Three Rivers. She was born December 20, 1944 in Goshen, IN, a daughter of Arnold and Alice (Swartzlander) Hartman. Sandy graduated from Nappannee High School in 1961 and attended Glen Oaks Community College. She worked for many years at Precision Speed of Sturgis and retired after years of serving as an Avon Lady. She enjoyed Stephen King Books and sending “Forgotten Ones” articles to inmates in jail.
Surviving are her sons Brien Miller, Baldwin, Paul Barrett Jr, Sturgis, Thomas Hartman, Sturgis, grandchildren Scotty Christner, Alicia Goodman, Ashley Hoffman, Talyssa Shepherd, Courtnee Shoup and Brett Miller, many great grandchildren, several step daughters, and a sister Connie Cannon.
She was preceded in death by her parents, husbands Ernest C Miller and Paul Barrett Sr., daughters Myava Rodgers and Laura Gould and a sister Jean Hartman.
Cremation has taken place. A Memorial service will be held 11 AM Saturday, December 13, 2025, at Sturgis Church of Christ, 901 N. Lakeview Ave., Sturgis, MI. Pastor George Cleverly will officiate.
