St. Joseph County United Way said an inordinate number of applicants has promoted a call-out for anyone willing to take part in either its Adopt-A-Family of Adopt-A-Senior program.
Alternatively, monetary donations to support the program and meet the needs expressed by local families and seniors are accepted.
Deadline to take part in the program is approaching, according to United Way officials.
