Eugene I. “Bub” Parish, Jr., age 53, of Sturgis, passed away Tuesday, December 23, 2025, at his home.
He was born October 29, 1972 in Sturgis, the son of the late Eugene Ivan Parish and Judy (Jackson) Parish. Bub was a lifelong Sturgis resident.
On July 26, 1997, he married the love of his life, Connie Burger, in Howe, Indiana. She preceded him in death on November 13, 2010.
Bub was currently employed at Popeye’s Chicken in Howe. Prior to joining Popeye’s, he had worked at Pizza Hut in Sturgis and LaGrange, Wendy’s, Adapt, and Morgan Olson.
Bub enjoyed fishing, bowling, playing video games, NASCAR, and spending time outdoors. He especially loved being surrounded by his family and cherished the time spent with his nieces and nephews.
He is survived by his son, Jeremy Lapham of Battle Creek; brothers, Jerry (Jessica) Parish of Sturgis and Kenneth Parish of Buchanan; sister-in-law, Samantha Parish of Sturgis; nieces and nephews, Robert (Emily) Parish of Woodland, Dylan Parish of Sturgis, Logan Parish of Sturgis, William (Katie) Parish of Colon, Dante Parish of Sturgis, Bryttani Parish of Sturgis, and Gabriel Parish of Sturgis; and great-niece and great-nephews, Dawson Parish, Oliver Parish and Paisley Parish.
He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife, Connie; and his brothers, Robert Parish, Thomas Parish, Michael Parish, and Jeffery Parish.
In honoring his wishes, cremation has taken place. A celebration of life will be held on Saturday, January 10, 2026, from 2:00 to 5:00 at Hackman Chapel of Hackman Family Funeral Homes, 114 S. Nottawa Street, Sturgis.
