Here’s a look at December’s Fresh Food Distribution events in St. Joseph County.
Seventh-Day Adventist Church, east of Centreville on M-86, hosts the first distribution of the month. It starts at 4 o’clock Tuesday.
First Presbyterian Church in Sturgis is next, beginning at 4 p.m. Thursday. Its address is 1320 S. Lakeview Ave.
Two distributions will be held Dec. 16.
Constantine High School’s event begins at 3:45 in the school’s bus circle. Event organizers said potential recipients are not allowed to lineup until 3:20 p.m. due to student safety and dismissal times.
The other Dec. 16 distribution is at White Pigeon High School. It begins at 3:30 p.m. and is being held early due to Christmas break.
Railroad Park in Burr Oak is the location of the following distribution. The 60-minute session starts at 3 p.m. Dec. 17.
Two distributions occur Dec. 18. The first at 10:30 a.m. at Gateway Village Apartments, 409 Gateway Court, in Sturgis. Later that day, a distribution begins at 4:30 p.m. at Colon High School.
The Huss Project in Three Rivers will be the location of the final distribution of the month. It is at 9 a.m. Dec. 20 at its property on 8th Street.
St. Joseph County Transportation Authority will provide a ride at no charge to Tuesday’s event at Seventh-Day Adventist Church. Rides must be secured at least 24 hours in advance and can be reserved by phoning the Three Rivers-based agency at 273-7808.
