Schoolcraft loses in state title game

Schoolcraft High School’s march to a Division 7 state football title ended prematurely over the weekend.

The Eagles lost, 34-6, to undefeated Menominee Sunday in Detroit and finished their season with an 11-3 record. Schoolcraft was hoping to secure its first state football title since 2001.

Menominee, meanwhile, completed a 14-0 season. The Maroons’ most-recent state football title before this season was secured in 2007.
