Search warrant leads to drug arrest in Cass County

A Cass County man faces drug-related charges and other offenses, following his arrest last week in Calvin Township.

Sheriff Clint Roach said the agency received an anonymous tip related to possible stolen property at a residence in the 60000 block of Eagle Point Road.

Deputies and members of Cass County Drug Enforcement Team executed a search warrant at 6 p.m. Tuesday and located numerous items of stolen property, along with meth and a large quantity of marijuana.

A 55-year-old man faces charges of possession of drugs with intent to deliver, possession of meth, maintaining a drug house, possession of a firearm during the commission of a felony, possession of stolen property, operating a chop shop and altering or removing a vehicle identification number, according to authorities.

Cass County Animal Control was also on hand, deputies said.
