Constantine issues boil-water advisory

Constantine Village Manager Mark Honeysett said a water-main break near Constantine High School last week prompted a boil-water advisory for village residents.

Honeysett said the incident occurred Friday afternoon. State officials were notified of the situation and the advisory went into effect until further notice.

Water samples were to be taken over the weekend and tested for bacterial contamination.

Honeysett said residents will be informed when village water has been deemed safe for consumption.
