Jemilinn Quiroz Luna, age 17, of Howe, Indiana passed away unexpectedly on Friday, January 16, 2026 at her home.
Jemilinn was 9 months pregnant with a baby boy: Elias Flores Quiroz, who unfortunately passed away along with her.
She was born March 3, 2008 in Winfield, IL a daughter of Israel Quiroz Munoz and Mireya Luna Hernandez. The family moved to the Sturgis area in 2011.
Jemilinn enjoyed cooking, reading, dancing, painting, doing make-up, swimming, and driving. She was also friendly to everyone she met and enjoyed being with kids and loved animals.
She is survived by her parents: Israel Quiroz Munoz and Mireya Luna Hernandez, two brothers: Edwin and Dylan Quiroz; her fiancé: Jose Flores.
The family will receive friends and relatives from 11:00 AM to 2:00 P.M., Wednesday, Jan. 21, 2026 at Holy Angels Catholic Church, 402 S. Nottawa St., Sturgis, MI 49091. Funeral Mass celebrating the life of Jemilinn Quiroz Luna will be held at 2:00 Wednesday, immediately following the visitation, at Holy Angels Catholic Church with Rev. Father Andrew Raczkowski, celebrant. Graveside services and interment will follow in Oak Lawn Cemetery.
