Linda Taylor, 74

Linda Sue Taylor, age 74, of Sturgis, passed away early Wednesday morning, January 14, 2026, at her home surrounded by her loving family.

She was born December 21, 1951 in Sturgis, the daughter of the late Carl and Phyllis (Brand) Harmon. Linda was a lifelong Sturgis resident and a graduate of Sturgis High School with the Class of 1970.

On August 24, 1985, she married Edwin W. Taylor in Sturgis. He preceded her in death on December 19, 2020.

Linda retired from Morgan Olson in Sturgis following more than 40 years of dedicated employment. She was a member of Eagles Lodge #1314, where she was a Golden Eagle, and the Captain John J. Kelley Post #1355 V.F.W. Auxiliary.

From the ages of 4 to 10, Linda was a member of a baton twirling team that performed at area special events and parades. She loved the outdoors and enjoyed many activities, including playing golf and softball, mushroom hunting, riding motorcycles, and attending rendezvous. By her friends, she was affectionately known as a “BRZNHSY.” Linda was especially proud of her family and shared a close, loving bond with her bonus daughters, embracing them as her own and cherishing her role in their lives. “Those fortunate enough to be in the circle that made you her family, whether by blood or bond, will surely miss her spitfire spirit and genuine warmth and love. It was not always easy for her to share that side of herself. She was like a peanut M&M to some. A hard shell with a soft & sweet interior, surrounding a bit of a nut that needed her Eagles Wednesday night therapy group”.

She is survived by her son, Marc (Krysten) Shoulders of Elkhart, and his children, Tyler, Nikolous, and Elliott; her bonus daughters, Cassandra (Barry) Davis of Lakeland, Florida, and her children, Vincent, Kairan, and Taylor, and Tracy (Russell) Meyer of Sherwood and her children, Dyllon, Ryanna, Brittney, and Heather Mae; two great-grandchildren; her sister, Jean (Daniel) Barnell of Sturgis; her brother, Michael Harmon of Sturgis; and many beloved nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, and her grandson, Zachary Shoulders.

In honoring Linda’s wishes, cremation has taken place. A Celebration of Life and the sharing of a meal will be held from 3:00 to 5:00 P.M., Saturday, January 31st at The In-Between Restaurant, 21355 US 12, Sturgis.

The Hackman Family Funeral Homes of Sturgis is entrusted with the arrangements.

Memorial donations would be appreciated to Elara Caring Hospice 4664 Campus Drive, Suite 101A, Kalamazoo, MI 49008 or VFW Post #1355 264 W. Fawn River Rd., Sturgis, MI 49091
