Glen Oaks Community College is seeking nominations for four awards presented annually: Distinguished Alumni Award, the Fellows Award, the Part-Time Teaching Award and the E.J. Shaheen Chair for Teaching Excellence Award.
Recipients will be honored during a ceremony April 21.
The Distinguished Alumni Award is offered by Glen Oaks Foundation to an alum who has demonstrated achievement in their career field, service to the community or outstanding contribution to the college.
The Fellows Award is given to an individual or institution who has provided outstanding support of the college by long-term dedication and commitment to Glen Oaks, extensive community-level support and/or direct and continuing support of the college and students.
The Part-Time Faculty Teaching Excellence Award is presented to a part-time faculty member or adjunct who demonstrates teaching excellence and reflects the value of education.
The E. J. Shaheen Teaching Chair for Excellence Award is issued by the Glen Oaks Foundation to an outstanding faculty member.
Nominations are accepted through March 6.
