A high school basketball doubleheader is on tap this evening, as Three Rivers boys and girls teams take on a league and in-county rival.
Both Wildcat squads will play Sturgis High School in contests hosted by Three Rivers.
Three Rivers’ boys team is 1-9 on the season and hopes to snap a nine-game losing streak. The Wildcats lost by 24 points to Edwardsburg in their most-recent game, earlier this week.
Sturgis, meanwhile, is 4-6 and coming off an upset win on the road over league-leading Plainwell Tuesday.
The Lady Wildcats are 2-4 so far and topped Edwardsburg, 44-41, in their most-recent competition Tuesday.
The Lady Trojans are 8-1 and in second place in the Wolverine Conference. They beat Plainwell, 50-33, earlier this week.
Tonight’s games will be carried live on WRCI 97.1 FM, starting around 5:25 for the girls contest. Coverage will continue for the boys game, with a scheduled start time of 7:15. The broadcasts will also be streamed online at wrciradio.com.
