Norman “Skeeter” Frye, 70

Norman Eugene “Skeeter” Frye, age 70, of Three Rivers, passed away Thursday, February 5, 2026 at Centrica Rose Arbor Place surrounded by his loving family.

He was born June 15, 1955 in Three Rivers, the son of Amos L. and Marie D. (Jones) Frye, and graduated with the Class of 1973 from Three Rivers High School, where he played baseball.

Norm worked at Lasco Bathware (Aquatic), from which he retired after more than 40 years. During this time, he made many lifetime friends.

On April 21, 1979, he married Kim Luanne Deters in Grand Rapids. They both enjoyed softball games and tournaments as well as spending time with their families.

He was an avid bowler, golfer, and fast-pitch softball player who earned a singles state championship and had two 299 bowling games. He loved watching his grandchildren and attending their sporting events, as well as hanging out with friends, especially at breakfast.

Remaining to cherish his memory are his sons, Nick (Melissa) Frye and Ben (Ashley) Frye; brothers, Terry (Vicky) Frye, Mike (Teresa) Frye, and Wess (Dana) Jackson; sisters, Theresa “Tess” (Mark) Sussdorf and Pam (Dennis) Beurmann; grandchildren, Wyatt, Kennedy, Jameson, and Adaline; many nieces, nephews, and special friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents and his wife Kim.

His family will receive friends Wednesday, February 11, 2026 from 2:00 to 4:00 and 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. and Thursday, February 12, 2026 beginning at 10:00 a.m. at Hohner Funeral Home, 1004 Arnold St., Three Rivers. A funeral service will follow at 11:00 at the funeral home with Emily Compton officiating. He will be laid to rest at Maple Grove Cemetery in Fremont at a later date.

Donations in Norm’s memory may be directed to Three Rivers Little League. Envelopes will be available at the funeral home.
