Indiana Michigan Power has suspended service disconnections in the Three Rivers area through the end of the month.
The move comes as the result of the March 6 tornado that struck and heavily damaged portions of the city. It also is a step being called a way to prevent further hardship while customers recover.
Company officials will evaluate and determine its next steps on April 1.
