Larry A. Seaquist, age 65, of Sturgis, passed away Sunday morning, March 22, 2026, at Bronson Methodist Hospital in Kalamazoo.
He was born June 28, 1960 in Chicago, son of the late Warren Alan and Margaret (Miklos) Seaquist.
Larry resided in Sturgis for the past year and a half, coming from Valdosta, Georgia, where he had lived for nine years. His early life was spent in Chicago. On August 12, 1986, he married the love of his life, Margarita Rodriguez, in Chicago. Together they shared nearly 40 years of love, partnership, and devotion.
Larry was forced to take an early retirement in 2017 due to health issues, following 31 years of dedicated service with AT&T as a field technician. He took great pride in his work and the relationships he built throughout his career.
He enjoyed traveling and camping and was known as a true foodie who appreciated good meals and new experiences. More than anything, Larry cherished time spent with his family, especially his grandchildren.
He is survived by his loving and devoted wife, Margarita Seaquist of Sturgis; his son, Scott Seaquist of Roselle, Illinois; his daughter, Heather (fiancé Jason) Seaquist of Bolingbrook, Illinois; his cherished grandchildren, Madelyn Grace and Nevaeh Rose, with a third grandchild expected in June; his brother, Paul Seaquist of Minnesota; his sister, Linda (Rick) Komorous of Wisconsin; and several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
In honoring Larry’s wishes, cremation has taken place. A private family celebration of life will be held at a later date in Illinois.
