Robert Charles “Bob” LaRoy of Three Rivers, passed away peacefully on February 24, 2026 in Inverness, FL at the age of 79.
Bob was born on April 30, 1946 to Marvin and Wilma LaRoy. He grew up in Kalamazoo, alongside his brothers Gerald (Jerry) and Dale. On March 7, 1964, he married the love of his life, Sharon, in Kalamazoo. Together they built a beautiful life and welcomed four children.
A dedicated Christian, Bob was a longtime member of Three Rivers Bible Church. He worked as a building contractor and took great pride in his craft. In his free time, he enjoyed singing in church, playing fast‑pitch softball, and golfing. Later in life, he cherished spending his winters in Florida, where he loved relaxing on the pontoon boat and golfing with friends.
Bob was a devoted husband, father, grandfather, and great‑grandfather. Nothing brought him more joy than time spent with his family, especially his grandchildren and great‑grandchildren.
Bob is survived by his four children: Laura DenHarder of Plainwell; Robert LaRoy of Goshen; Jason (Tracy) LaRoy of Murfreesboro, TN; and Adam (partner Stacie) LaRoy of Three Rivers. He is also survived by his 12 grandchildren and 2 great‑grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Sharon LaRoy; his parents, Marvin and Wilma LaRoy; and his brothers, Dale LaRoy and Jerry LaRoy.
In keeping with his wishes, cremation has taken place. The family will welcome friends at 1:00 on Saturday, May 23, 2026, for a memorial service at Three Rivers Bible Church, 220 N. Erie St., Three Rivers, with Pastor Jeff Homan officiating.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to a charity of your choosing.
