Update on power restoration

Indiana Michigan Power issued a media release late Sunday, providing an update on its power-restoration efforts.

Company officials said they originally thought full restoration to Three Rivers and the surrounding area would be in effect by 4 p.m. Sunday.

Crews, however, faced complications centering on not able to gain access to key locations due to downed trees or other obstructions.

In addition, the company said some customers have damage too great, thereby not allowing Indiana Michigan Power to reconnect electricity. Company officials said they will work directly with those customers on next steps.
