White Pigeon man injured in Elkhart County crash

A White Pigeon man was involved in a four-vehicle crash last week in Elkhart County.

According to the Elkhart County Sheriff’s Office, deputies were called around 5:30 a.m. March 17 to the intersection of County Road 2 and County Road 37.

Investigators said a vehicle driven by an 18-year-old Indiana man was eastbound on County Road 2 and crossed the center line, striking a Jeep head on.

Another vehicle, driven by a 62-year-old Elkhart man, was going east on County Road 2 and came to a stop behind the crash. Then, a vehicle driven by a 34-year-old White Pigeon man was going west on County Road 2 and rear-ended the crashed Jeep.

The White Pigeon man ’s vehicle man continued heading west, crossed the center line, and hit the stopped vehicle head-on.

Authorities said the White Pigeon man was treated at the scene.
