JoAnn Johnson, age 89, of Three Rivers, passed away Wednesday, March 25, 2026 at LakeHouse Three Rivers.
She was born June 20, 1936 in Three Rivers, the daughter of Donald L. and Kathryn V. (Timm) Burt, and graduated from Constantine High School with the Class of 1954.
On October 23, 1954, she married Gerald L. Johnson at the Methodist Church in Constantine.
JoAnn enjoyed being a Girl Scout Leader in the 1960’s, camping with family, collected antiques and vintage items, seamstress, making homemade Teddy Bears, repairing Teddy Bears and Dolls in the 1990’s, making jewelry, painting with different mediums and enjoyed reading.
Remaining to cherish her memory are her son, Gerald Jr. (Jerry) and wife Denise of Raton, NM; daughter, Kathleen and husband Randy Schmeling of Three Rivers; grandsons, Justin Sean Johnson and William Johnson Wesse; Paternal siblings, Arthur Burt of Jacksonville, FL, Kathy (Burt) Lenn of Titusville, FL, and Wendy (Burt) Stemler of Cocoa, FL; several cousins, nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Gerald Johnson Sr., in 2021 and Paternal sister Donna (Burt) Siegler in 1993.
In accordance with her wishes, cremation will be conducted. A Memorial Tribute will be planned at a later date.
