A road-improvement project in St. Joseph County starts today.
Michigan Department of Transportation’s Nick Schirripa said 1.1 miles of M-86 in Nottawa Township will be repaved from Nottawa Street in Centreville east to Shimmel Road.
Work will be performed by Lakeland Asphalt Corp. The Nottawa Township project is one of three MDOT jobs starting today.
The others are 3.6 miles of repaving M-60 in Calhoun County’s Burlington Township and re-surfacing eight-tenths of a mile of M-99 in the village of Homer.
In all, the projects total $1.7 million.
