Pamela Hodges Braham, age 82, of Sturgis, Michigan, passed away on April 9, 2026 at Thurston Woods Villa in Sturgis.
She was born December 31, 1943 in Sturgis, daughter of the late William G. and Joycelyn (Hodges) Braham, M.D.
Pam spent her early years in Sturgis and graduated from Sturgis High School with the Class of 1962. She went on to further her education at the University of Idaho, earning a bachelor’s degree in biology in 1966. She later moved to Seattle, where she worked for many years as a laboratory technician until her retirement. Following her retirement, she returned to Sturgis to be closer to lifelong friends.
She was an active member of St. John’s Episcopal Church in Sturgis and found great joy in playing bridge and spending time with friends. Pam had a deep and abiding love for animals, especially her cherished cats, which brought her much comfort and companionship throughout her life.
She is survived by her brother, Michael Hodges (Sandra) Braham of Kailua, Hawaii; her nephew, James Michael (Wendy) Braham of Eugene, Oregon; her great-nephew, Orion James Braham of Eugene, Oregon; and her cousins, Sandy Healy of Battle Creek and Jill Vogel of Tucson, Arizona.
In accordance with Pamela’s wishes, cremation has taken place. The family will receive friends from 5:00 to 7:00 P.M. Friday, June 12th, at Hackman Chapel of Hackman Family Funeral Homes, 114 S. Nottawa St., Sturgis. A Requiem Mass will be held at 11:00 A.M. Saturday, June 13th, at St. John’s Episcopal Church, 110 S. Clay St., Sturgis. The Rev. Kris Veldherr will officiate. Burial of her cremated remains will follow the Mass at St. John’s Memorial Gardens.
