Police investigate hit-and-run incident

Three Rivers Police Department is appealing to the public for help in identifying the driver involved in a hit-and-run incident last week.

According to a department media release, officers responded April 10 to an area near the intersection of South Grant Avenue and Hill Street regarding a 10-year-year-old child struck while operating an electric scooter.

The driver of the vehicle fled the scene without stopping to render aid or provide information, Chief Scott Boling said.

Details about the child’s condition was not included in the media release.

The Three Rivers Police Department continues to investigate the incident and is seeking assistance from the public. Anyone who witnessed the crash or who may have surveillance video from the surrounding area is encouraged to contact Det.-Sgt. Dibble at 278-1235.
