Cass County residents are encouraged to support a federal grant being sought by county officials.
The Cass County Board of Commissioners will stage a public hearing at 5 o’clock Thursday for citizens to comment on the county’s plan to seek $400,000 to support disaster-recovery efforts.
The public hearing is a required step in the process to try to secure the Community Development Block Grant.
Funding would help cover disaster case-management services, including outreach, intake, needs assessment, individual recovery planning, and coordination of services such as housing, healthcare and financial-assistance navigation.
