A major draw to the region kicks off its 2026 season next week.

The Shipshewana Flea Market, which claims to be the Midwest’s largest flea market, opens its doors Tuesday.

Officials said the attraction features an open-air market featuring 700 booths, a farmers market, a plants and garden section, and a large quantity of food vendors over a 40-acre property.

Market days are Tuesdays and Wednesdays, 8 a.m. to 4 p.m.

There are two weekend markets in 2026: June 19 and 20, and July 31 and Aug. 1.
