Personnel from the Leonidas Fire Department responded over the weekend to a two-vehicle crash involving a LifeCare ambulance.
Authorities said the fire department was summoned shortly after 8:30 p.m. Saturday to an area of M-60 between Olney and Tallman roads.
According to a fire department media release, EMT’s were working with a patient involved in a one-vehicle crash when their ambulance was struck from behind by another vehicle. It was traveling east on M-60.
Both lanes of M-60 were then shut down while emergency personnel tended to the original crash victim and the victim whose vehicle struck the ambulance.
The two drivers received minor injuries. No first responders were injured.
