Bridge failure forces closure of Calvin Township road

Cass County Road Commission has announced the closure of a route in Calvin Township.

Agency officials said Cassopolis Road is closed between Mt. Zion Street and Osborn Street.

The immediate closure is due to a bridge failure over a creek east of Leninger Lake. The detour involves Mt. Zion Street, Robinson Road and Osborn Street.

Road commission officials said all emergency services and schools have been notified of the closure and the resulting detour route.
