Faith (Chick) C. Timm passed away on May 21, 2026 at her home surrounded by her children. She fought a long and courageous battle trying to beat cancer. Even though the cancer took her on this final round it was not who Faith our mother was.
Faith was born in Cleveland, Ohio, the daughter of Elmer and Hope (Vance) Cowley. When she was approximately 7 years of age, she moved with her parents to Fisher Lake to the home of her maternal grandparents, and where she continued to live her life on the lake that she loved.
Faith went to the Three Rivers Community Schools and graduated in 1954. She was an accomplished musician, playing the accordion and piano. During high school and after graduation she played and taught the accordion. She would on many occasions take the train into Chicago for further lessons and for numerous festivals that she participated in. She taught the accordion to students that she had while she was employed at Jonker Studios with her friend Edward Jonker. A couple of students have kept in contact with her all these years. She passed the love of music to all five of her children whom each participated in band through their school years. Faith played the piano at her home nearly every day. She was a member of the Three Rivers Presbyterian Church where she taught Sunday school and helped with some of the plays the children put on. Faith was employed by Three Rivers Community Schools in various positions for over 30 years before she retired.
Faith was a loving and the most devoted mother to her five children, Brian, Terri, Jodi, David and Christy. This devotion and love extended to her grandchildren and great-grandchildren, who called her Grams and Gigi. (Gigi because she was too young to be called great-grandma!) Raising 5 children was a bit chaotic at times and humor was always involved in the family. To this day, her children have never let her forget that one day at the dinner table we were all seated and we all took a bite of homemade chocolate pudding she made and all spit it out at the same time. Tasted like ashes! Don’t think she made homemade pudding again. Faith’s proudest achievements were raising her children and watching her family grow and leaves nothing behind but beautiful memories.
Remaining to cherish her memory are her children, Brian (Bobbie) Timm, Terri Crabtree, Jodi (Larry) Drewer, David (Jody) Timm and Christy (Jeff) Linn. Her grandchildren, Jennifer Martin, Jonathan Crabtree, Larry Drewer II, Dusty Drewer, Kim Drauch, Stephanie Middlemas, Kelly Singleton, Heather Jahn, Collin Loomis, Rebecca Linn, Courtney Burnham and Joshua Linn, and 20 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, and Ohio cousins who were like siblings to her.
Her family will receive friends Tuesday, May 26, 2026 from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. at Hohner Funeral Home, 1004 Arnold St., Three Rivers, as well as Wednesday, May 27, 2026 from 10:00 a.m. until time of service at 11:00 at the funeral home with Pastor Jamey Smith officiating. She will be laid to rest at Riverside Cemetery.
Donations in Faith’s memory may be directed to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, Restoration Church, or a charity of your choice.
