A new food pantry is coming to St. Joseph County.
WWMT reports that officials hosted a ribbon-cutting ceremony last week at the new Community Impact Pantry at First United Methodist Church in Three Rivers.
Organizers said the new site allows them to help more area people in need.
Rev. Heather Nowak said South Michigan Food Bank partnered with Meridian Health Plan of Michigan for last Tuesday’s ribbon cutting.
She noted the new source for food options means Community Impact Pantry is going to be a more reliable and sustainable source for anyone facing food insecurity in St. Joseph County.
