The Annual Water Festival will be here in just another week or so. This is the festival of the year for St. Joe County. For the next couple of weeks you’ll see all the hullabaloo that makes this annual festival come to life. Not only will there be a fantastic parade to kick the festivities off on Thursday, June 18, but there will be all kinds of activities for the entire family.
The Three Rivers Lions will have their Ox Roast happening all three days. This is a Paul K. Judsen Legacy Event. The Lions will have ox sandwiches, chips, drinks, and of course that famous George Cole Ham & Bean Soup. You won’t want to miss out on the Apple and Cherry pie slices also available. The Ox Roast wouldn’t be complete without having a sliced dill pickle. The Lions Club is located at 420 Sixth Avenue, directly across from the football field. They will have drive-thru service, plus plenty of outdoor seating available. Thursday and Friday hours are from 11 AM until 8 PM. Saturday hours are from 11 AM until 3 PM, or until they are sold out.
The Three Rivers Woman’s Club will be hosting their “Pies for Scholarships” pie sale during the Water Festival. The sale takes place on Saturday, June 20, from 8 AM until 1 PM, during the Car Show. You may pick your pie up at HG Real Estate, 52 North Main Street, in the downtown district. You won’t want to wait too long, because the sale will end at 1 PM, or when they run out. You may purchase a slice or the entire pie. I recommend the entire pie.
The Three Rivers Elks Lodge #1248 will hold their annual Bicycle Rodeo on Saturday, June 20 during Water Festival. Registration starts at 10 AM and the winners will be announced at High Noon. FREE entry to win the bike of your choice. All children age 13 and under are eligible to win. Come and enjoy FREE hot dogs, chips and water.
You burn more calories sleeping than you do watching TV.
See you Out and About!
