Diana Marie Sinclair, 55, of Three Rivers, passed away peacefully at the home of her sister and brother-in-law on Tuesday, Nov. 26, 2013 after a courageous battle with cancer.
Diana was born in Vicksburg on Sept. 25, 1958 the daughter of James and Betty (Dorbin) Sinclair. She lived in Three Rivers most of her life and was a 1976 graduate of Three Rivers High School.
Diana held such positions as Shipping and Receiving, Route Manager, Clerical and Factory, but her passion was in bartending. She worked as a bartender at the Time Out in Three Rivers for seven years where she met and made many lifelong friends. She also bartended at the Eagles Club, the Elks Lodge in Three Rivers, and R-Ski’s Bar & Grill in Marcellus. Diana was a member of the Eagles #2303 and the American Legion Post #170 of Three Rivers.
Diana loved her home and entertaining family and friends poolside. Her fondest memories were of vacations and holidays spent with family, time spent with friends, and of her favorite dog, “Blue.” Diana was known by all as a strong, confident, independent, hardworking, fun-loving woman. She loved life and lived it to the fullest. Diana was a wonderful daughter, sister, aunt and friend. She will be greatly missed by all who loved her. May she rest in peace in the arms of our Lord and Savior.
Diana is survived by her mother, Betty (Dorbin) Sinclair of Schoolcraft; stepmother, Joyce (Dills) Sinclair of Vicksburg; brother, David (Ruth) Sinclair of Battle Creek; sister, Nancy (Wayne) Martin of Three Rivers; nephews, Shane Ream of Three Rivers and Paul Sinclair of Houston, Texas; nieces, Christina (Jim) Bryant of Three Rivers, Karie Sinclair of Maui, Hawaii and Cheyenne Eiswald of Chicago, Ill.; great niece and nephew; several aunts, uncles and cousins.
Diana was preceded in death by her father, James Sinclair, who passed away on June 22, 2013.
Cremation has been conducted according to Diana’s wishes. A memorial service will be held on Saturday, Dec. 14 at Hohner Funeral Home in Three Rivers at 1 p.m. Pastor Brian Lutz of Faith Fellowship Church in Schoolcraft will be officiating. Following the memorial service there will be a luncheon at Eagles in Three Rivers. Memorial flowers may be directed to Hohner Funeral Home and donations may be directed to West Michigan Cancer Center or Hospice Care of Southwest Michigan.
