Three Rivers woman charged with multiple CSC counts

A Three Rivers woman has been charged with alleged sexual assault involving two minors.

St. Joseph County Prosecutor Deborah Davis said 28-year-old Kaitlyn Lee Sand has been charged in connection with alleged incidents that occurred between February and April 2023.

She was arraigned Monday.

Investigators allege Sand met the victims through her work as a contract employee in food services at Mendon Jr./Sr. High School and used various social media platforms to contact the victims repeatedly.

Davis said Sand faces the following charges:

• Two counts of first-degree criminal sexual conduct.

• Two counts of third degree criminal sexual conduct.

• One count of second-degree criminal sexual conduct.

• One count of tampering with evidence in a criminal case.

• One count of fourth-degree criminal sexual conduct.

Davis said the charges stem from incidents alleged to have occurred in Mendon and Three Rivers.
