A Dowagiac man was injured last week after the car he was driving struck a cow in Cass County’s Mason Township.
Cass County Sheriff’s Department deputies said Dale Killarney, 67, was driving south on Calvin Center Road at 3:30 a.m. Friday when the incident occurred. Investigators said the incident happened in the 700000 block of Calvin Center Road.
Killarney, who required the assistance of EMTs to exit his vehicle, was treated at Elkhart General Hospital.
Authorities did not say whether the cow survived the collision.
