A 34-year-old Three Rivers man died over the weekend after the motorcycle he was driving crashed into a pickup in Constantine Township.
Sheriff Chad Spence said deputies were called shortly before 1 a.m. Sunday to the intersection of U.S. 131 and Riverside Drive in response to a two-vehicle crash.
Investigators said the victim was driving a 2005 Yamaha motorcycle northbound on U.S. 131. Authorities said a Ford F-250 entered the intersection in a westbound direction on Riverside Drive.
The pickup entered the path of the motorcycle, resulting in a collision.
The motorcycle operator was ejected and pronounced deceased at the scene, authorities said. The Ford’s driver was uninjured.
Investigators said the victim was wearing a helmet. They said speed does not appear to have been a factor; alcohol- and drug-test results are pending.

So many accidents in this exact spot. The new bypass was a stupid idea and unneeded and this is one of many reasons why.
