St. Joseph County Road Commission recently received an accolade for its workplace safety record.
Agency officials said the “Goose Egg Award” was bestowed to the road commission for having zero reportable workers’ compensation losses over a 12-month period.
The award was announced last month at the County Road Association Self-Insurance Funds annual membership meeting in Bay City.
Prior to presenting the award, comments acknowledging the achievement were made by fund administrator Joyce Porter and chairperson Tom Doty, Mackinac County Road Commission commissioner and CRASIF board member.
