Terry Lewis, 61

Terrence “Terry” Lee Lewis, age 61, of Three Rivers, passed away Friday, November 7, 2025 at his home surrounded by his loving family.

He was born September 6, 1964 in Three Rivers, the son of George E. and Marsha R. (Detwiler) Lewis, and graduated from Three Rivers High School with the Class of 1982.

Terry was a dedicated employee of the City of Three Rivers for the past 25 years, working as a Crew Leader for the Department of Public Services.

On May 11, 1985, he married his best friend, Sue Starks.

Terry was a family man, loyal, real, a giver of sound advice, and fun-loving – but also the voice of reason. He loved his kids and wanted the best for them; he passed on his work ethic to them, teaching them how to work hard and contribute to society. One of his most cherished roles was being a Grandpa to Raylan; spending time with him brought Terry great joy.

He was a jack of all trades when it came to auto repair/restoration, plumbing and house projects; he didn’t have to have everything new, but had a talent for taking things that weren’t new and making them look like they were! He also was a huge fan of the Detroit Lions.

Remaining to cherish his memory are his wife of 40 years, Sue Lewis; son, Ryan Lewis; daughter, Rachel (Joe) Gould; grandson, Raylan; mother, Marsha Lewis; and brothers, Tom Lewis and Tim (Colleen) Lewis.

He was preceded in death by his father, George Edward Lewis.

His family will receive friends Friday, November 14, 2025 beginning at 1:00 at Hohner Funeral Home, 1004 Arnold St., Three Rivers. A memorial service will follow at 2:30 at the funeral home with Pastor Jamey Smith officiating.
